This study aimed to examine factors affecting the performance of community enterprises in the Northeastern region of Thailand and to propose development guidelines to enhance their performance. A mixed-methods approach was employed. Quantitative data were collected from questionnaires administered to 395 community enterprises, while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 20 key informants. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis, whereas qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis. The results revealed that community enterprises faced key challenges, including the lack of product and service quality standards, limited entrepreneurial and technological skills, and insufficient financial support. Enterprise performance differed significantly according to location, years of establishment, average monthly income, and number of members. Moreover, management factors—namely organizational structure, operational planning, marketing management, knowledge management, member management, and product or service management-were found to significantly influence enterprise performance. Based on the findings, development guidelines emphasize upgrading products and services to recognized standards, utilizing local resources and wisdom to create distinctive products, strengthening collaboration networks, adopting digital marketing strategies, enhancing entrepreneurial and technological capabilities, and improving production efficiency and management practices to support sustainable community enterprise development.
