The purpose of this study was to develop an internal supervision model for improving instructional management in Nanning private higher educational institutes, China. The research process was divided into three phases. Phase 1 To determine the present situation of the supervision for improving the instructional management in Nanning private higher educational institutes, China, 250 teaching staff in the 6 private higher educational institutes in Nanning and 9 experts in the area of instruction and supervision were samples used in this phase. Survey questionnaire and semi-structured interview were used to obtain baseline data for the second phase. Phase 2 To develop an internal supervision model for improving the instructional management in Nanning private higher educational institutes, China, 6 experts were interviewed for verifying the accuracy and feasibility of the constructed model. Phase 3 To evaluate the applicability of the internal supervision model for improving the instructional management in Nanning private higher educational institutes, China, 75 personnel including teaching staff and dean of the faculty from the 6 private higher educational institutes in Nanning were samples in this phase, obtaining data by a questionnaire. Frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were used for analyzing quantitative data and content analysis was used for analyzing qualitative data. The outcome of this study was an internal supervision model for improving instructional management in Nanning private higher educational institutes, China, consisting of 5 tasks and 10 activities direct assistance, group development, curriculum development, professional development, and action research. The model was found most accurate and moderate feasible from the experts’ point of view, while the perspective of the teaching staff and dean of the faculty in private higher educational institutes found less feasible, but with moderate utility.
