In recent years, the health management awareness of the elderly group for healthcare products increased steadily. Healthcare products could provide nutritional maintenance, regulate the body, and improve body efficiency. Healthcare product consumption cognition and consumption attitude became essential factors affecting the consumption behavior of the elderly, who might need to establish trust and value perception toward the use of healthcare products among so many different brands in the market. The purpose of this study was to investigate the significant difference in Chengdu elderly purchase intention on healthcare product selection with varying variables of control (gender, age, income, and occupation before retirement); to examine the influencing mechanism of the Chengdu elderly purchase intention based on perceived value, trust experience, and purchase attrition on healthcare product selection; and to put forward feasible suggestions on healthcare providers by improving product trust, perceptions, and value of Chengdu elderly concerns. Four hundred thirty-nine completed questionnaires of Chengdu elderly were collected through the online WeChat platform by random sampling between January and February 2023. The results showed that perceived value, trust experience, and purchase attitude significantly impacted elderly purchase intention for healthcare products. In addition, other influencing variables based on perceived functional value, perceived emotional value, perceived social value, sales skill, after-sale service, emotional experience, health awareness, and price would also be considered essential for developing trust and satisfaction for Chengdu elderly population.
