Private higher vocational education was an integral part of Sichuan education, and the primary source of increased vocational education funding raised the construction of the vocational education system. It alleviated the strong demand for skilled application talents in society and the labor market. With the continuous development of private higher vocational education, its management had also deepened its understanding of the school's positioning in training mode for the need for a technical workforce. However, the teacher's brain drains situation also created another problem in keeping up with the main task of private vocational colleges in Sichuan. Three objectives of this study were to analyze the cause of turnover intention in Sichuan private higher vocational college of different demographic variables of teacher characteristics; explore the effect of teacher turnover intention based on job satisfaction and work stress in Sichuan private higher vocational college, and; evaluate the improvement of brain drains and job retention for Sichuan private higher vocational college based on the dimension of job satisfaction in career growth, remuneration, and promotion opportunity, and the measurement of work stress in a work environment, self-development, organization, and interpersonal conditions. Four hundreds and two questionnaires from Sichuan private vocational school teachers were collected through the online WeChat platform by random sampling in April 2022. The results showed that job satisfaction and work stress significantly impact teacher turnover intention in private vocational colleges. This study suggested vocational colleges reduce teacher brain drain and improve teacher job satisfaction for developing Sichuan private vocational colleges.
