Abstract (English)

The introduction of HPV vaccination in China aimed to prevent HPV infection in all women. Issues that China would face include the high cost of vaccines produced in other countries, a shortage of HPV vaccine supplies, adverse incidents of vaccination jeopardizing public confidence in HPV vaccines, cultural and cultural barriers, and susceptibility to vaccine acceptance. Ensuring the effective delivery of HPV vaccines in China, an economically, geographically, and culturally complex country, would require a significant investment of resources. Given the high price of imported vaccines, the supply of locally produced HPV vaccines will greatly facilitate national HPV vaccination programs through a stable channel. The purpose of this study was to construct a model of women's willingness to use third-party channels for HPV vaccine appointments, to explore the overall status of women's usage intention on the third-party channels for HPV vaccine appointments through influencing factors, and to identify research gaps and finally, make actionable recommendations on how official channels can better serve women's needs. Four hundred eighteen Sichuan residents completed survey questionnaires of Sichuan females collected through the online WeChat platform by random sampling in April 2022. The results showed that usage attitude, perceived value, and initial trust significantly impact female group usage intention on third-party channels in Sichuan. This study also put forward suggestions for improving steady and functional channels for HPV vaccines and increasing the safe use of the platforms.
