Impact of 4S after-sales shop on customer satisfaction : the study of imported automakers in Wuhan, China

Abstract (English)

Nowadays, brands played a significant role in the economy and culture as brands were seen as "cultural accessories and personal philosophies." Creating a brand was the additional value technique that showed the commodity, corporation, and the country of origin in general. The level of customer satisfaction from the 4S shop reflected customer loyalty to the automobile brand. In general, imported automobile brands occupied the vital position of providing good quality and performance. As more 4S shops were operated, customer need in quality service related to service and brand satisfaction were needed to identify in Wuhan, China. The proper models working with 4S shop for customer satisfaction would also be essential to learn how the system could improve service and brand awareness. Customer attitude's conceptual framework was formulated based on corporate image, customer expectation, service facility perception, service process perception, service staff perception, maintenance quality perception, and perceived value were set to test the correlation with customer satisfaction. This study employed a quantitative survey by having 420 respondents filled out their replies through three major 4S shops for Audi. Toyota and General Motors with their viewpoints on these influencing factors. The results indicated all influencing variables were positively correlated with customer satisfaction. Future studies on using more different service models and attitude variables would better understand what imported automakers would need to face incoming challenges.
