การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาและสำรวจระดับความคิดเห็นของการเตรียมความพร้อมและการปรับตัวของประชากรในประเทศไทย กับการเข้าสู่ประชาคมเศรษฐกิจอาเซียน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามในการเก็บข้อมูลจากกลุ่มตัวอย่าง จำนวน 400 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่มีเพศ อายุ สถานภาพ ระดับการศึกษา อาชีพ และรายได้ต่อเดือน แตกต่างกัน มีผลต่อระดับความคิดเห็นของการเตรียมความพร้อมและการปรับตัวเพื่อรองรับกับประชาคมเศรษฐกิจอาเซียน แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ซึ่งระดับความคิดเห็นที่มีผลต่อการเตรียมความพร้อมและการปรับตัวเพื่อรองรับกับประชาคมเศรษฐกิจอาเซียนมากที่สุด คือ ด้านเทคโนโลยี รองลงมา ได้แก่ ด้านสังคมและวัฒนธรรม ด้านเศรษฐกิจ และด้านการเมืองและความมั่นคง ตามลำดับ
This research aimed to study and survey the opinion level of preparation and adaptation of the population in Thailand. With the entry into Asian Economic Community which using a questionnaire to gather information from 400 samples. The results showed that the samples that had differently gender, age, status, education, occupation and monthly income affected on the opinion of preparing and adapting to meet the AEC at .05 level of significance, as follows the technology aspect, the social and culture aspect, the economic aspect, and the politic and stability, respectively.
