Abstract (English)

Human Resource Development Factors Impacting Revenue Generation in Thailand's Esports Competition Industry This article aims to: study the factors related to human resource development that affect income generation from esports competitions in Thailand, and analyze the models and channels for generating income from esports competitions in Thailand. In this research, the sample group consisted of 400 esports experts selected through purposive sampling. The demographic breakdown shows 240 males (60%) and 160 females (40%), with the majority aged 20-25 years (150 people, 37.5%), followed by those aged 26-30 years (100 people, 25%). Most participants were single (250 people, 62.5%) and held bachelor's degrees (300 people, 75%). Regarding experience in the esports industry, the majority had 1-3 years of experience (180 people, 45% ), with most being professional esports athletes (200 people, 50% ). The average monthly income from esports for most participants ranged from 15,001- 30,000 baht (180 people, 45%), and the majority were affiliated with private gaming/esports companies (120 people, 30%). The research findings highlight key information regarding primary sources of income from esports competitions in Thailand. The analysis used basic statistics, including mean, standard deviation, and frequency and percentage. The research results show that income from broadcasting rights (X = 4.77, S.D. = 0.611) and merchandise sales (X = 4.77, S.D. = 0.791) are the main revenue sources with continuous growth potential. Organizations can employ strategies to expand broadcasting platforms to increase licensing value, such as negotiating with global platforms or developing engaging broadcast formats like VR/AR technology and interactive content. For merchandise sales, strategies should focus on product diversification and implementing Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) strategies through online platforms to reduce dependence on traditional sales channels. Income from sponsors (X = 4.65, S.D. = 0.681) and ticket sales (X = 4.64, S.D. = 0.822) are two other potential revenue sources. Organizations can use strategies to develop long-term relationships with sponsors through customizable sponsorship packages tailored to target audiences, as well as implementing Dynamic Pricing strategies for competition tickets based on demand and tournament timing. Although income from in-game advertisements (X = = 4.55, S.D. = 0.571) was ranked lowest, it still falls within the "highest" level, reflecting development potential. Organizations should employ strategies to enhance advertising value through Al technology and Data Analytics to customize advertisements based on viewer behavior, including In-Game Sponsorship and Gamified Ads to increase brand engagement. In summary, organizations can optimize revenue generation by employing strategies to expand broadcasting channels and develop content, increase product diversity, build long-term relationships with sponsors, use dynamic ticket pricing, and enhance in-game advertising through digital technology. These approaches will help strengthen financial stability and sustainability in the esports and entertainment business. The research findings on various factors affecting revenue generation in the esports and entertainment business industry show that player skills and preparation, along with technology utilization and marketing, are crucial. Technical gaming skills and adaptability to game changes had the highest impact (mean values of 4.82 and 4.88 respectively), as did systematic training and strategic planning before competitions (mean value of 4.80). The use of quality technology, such as computer equipment and broadcasting systems (mean values of 4.74 and 4.81), as well as team branding and image creation (mean value of 4.89), all had the highest level of impact on revenue generation. Meanwhile, factors related to team management and fan relationship building also had significant effects (mean value of 4.48). All these findings reflect the importance of skill development, technology, and marketing in generating revenue from the esports and entertainment industry. This research proposes strategies to increase revenue generation efficiency, including expanding broadcasting platforms, developing content with VR/AR technology, increasing merchandise diversity, implementing DTC strategies, building long-term relationships with sponsors, using Dynamic Pricing for tickets, and enhancing advertising value through Al technology and Data Analytics. The research indicates that developing personnel skills, technology, and integrated marketing strategies significantly impacts revenue generation in Thailand's esports and entertainment business, and can serve as a guideline for sustainable development of this industry.
